The Kaleidescape Remote is an excellent source for many such commands. This results in a good general-purpose remote, but one that lacks Kaleidescape specific commands.Ī remote control already set up with Kaleidescape specific commands can be used as a source remote to learn those commands.

Programming the remote as if it were controlling a Toshiba DVD player allows the remote to control a Kaleidescape movie zone.

The Kaleidescape code set is an extension to the Toshiba code set. Kaleidescape IR codes can also be loaded from device files provided for some of the more popular remote controls below, or from CCF files such as the Philips IR library, which can be opened in the Universal Browser. Kaleidescape is listed in this library under AUX. This library contains several one-button Kaleidescape commands, such as single-touch access to the Movie List view, favorite scene controls, intermission, etc.

Home Theater Master and Complete Control series remotes that are PC programmable can use the IR device library from URC. Using the Onscreen Display Control Interface or the Standalone Music Control Interface allows users to control their systems for movies and music in zones both with and without a display device.

I absolutely hated it.The software application for the URC MX-6000 provides full control and two-way feedback for a Kaleidescape player. I don't know if this helps.mine were the MX-1200, and I had to use URC's "Complete Control Program". I recently had to do some URC remotes with Crestron. When I find that code 17 is bad, I can just quickly drag in the alternate code 217 and reload the remote. In Simpl, I define all of my signals twice: Starting at 1 and again at 301. The tedious nature of deploying these things really calls for reusing joins and using the punch through feature in CCP. I spend a few minutes mashing keys on them when they're new. It seems to require a more firm touch than I like. The 1200 is like the 890 but with a touchscreen. I've noticed that the MX900 seems to work better than the MX890s I've done. I haven't had to do the minimum repeats thing. Oliver gives all of the advice that I was going to.

If I ever get done with the rest of the RFID's, I'll post it in files. remote programming software, remote programming software bosch, remote programming software download, urc remote programming software, pro control remote programming software download, mx-980 remote programming software, harmony remote programming software, mx 890 remote programming software, rti remote programming software download, mx-900. RFID 10 is the only one that I've tested completely. I started testing and keeping track of the bad joins, as I like using the MX980 for handheld TV remotes in DM systems. I just drag all joins onto the hard buttons of the Main page and punch through all devices to Main.

Each file is based on a whole-house approach to programming, so now a single file will include all the rooms, remotes and base stations for each customer. You can program MX-6000's and MX-980's in the same editor program. I like the 980, but it is a little large for my tastes. The Complete Control Program is now the editor of choice for programming the MX-980. Otherwise the 890 is a clear winner for me as a crestron one way handheld remote. I am going to try the min repeat 6 thing to see if that alleviates the problem. I recently just updated my 900 to an 890 at home, and I noticed the "firm" presses needed as well. > Has anyone came up with a new hack for the new software for the MX900? Put some codes on buttons, drop in a MT1000, test everything. > Ive dropped them in but get nothing I can see it in toolbox pressing join 0001 but nothing I have an old MX900 and it works fine Just cant get it to work with the new URC software Also note there's a bunch of bad codes in their libraries for the Crestron RF joins so you have to test every one and work around the ones that don't work.never again. You have to do this for every single button. Finally, you have to be sure that "minimum repeats when pressed" is set to 6 in the macro programming. In order to get RF to work, be sure you've defined a URC RF base station (I had MRF-260) and then be sure for each device under the "RF Control" tab in programming to have "RF" selected in the drop down, and pick the MRF gateway.
